Brambles First Trip to Town

Very good coffee shop behvaior - she's got the hang of it already!

Bramble with Mr Froggy

Bramble begins to get the idea of walking on a lead
This morning Bramble went to town for the first time. In the car I had a harness and seat belt on her, she was sat on the seat. She loves travelling which is great. We brought her to a nearby shopping centre. They have a double storey car park so we parked up the top so she got the experience of a lift. She wasn't bothered by it at all. The minute she walked into the shop everybody was looking at her and several people came over to meet her and ask about puppy walking. Bramble is a people loving dog and took it all in her stride. She walked around for a while and then I carried her for a while. She's pretty heavy and big though so this won't be happening for long! We did have one toileting accident, which often happens before the pups are toilet trained! Otherwise she was perfect. We took her into the coffee shop and she fell asleep under the table. Then we went into the Pet Shop, she saw some rabbits, guinea pigs and fish! We also got her a new toy (who has been named Mr Froggy) which she loves to play with. A very successful first trip to town.

Back at home she is spending more time with our other dogs, Amber (a Bernese who is very sensible and likes to make sure everyone is behaving. She teaches the puppies not to mess with older, calmer dogs! She is very gentle with them too) Holly (a crossbreed, a mix between a Chihuahua and Cavalier but she thinks shes a Rottweiler. She is playful and enjoys interacting with other dogs) and Skye (another AADI dog who we have fostered for the last year, but will be leaving shortly for advanced training. She is excellent with other dogs and is very tolerant of puppies. She will share her toys with her - except her favourite tennis ball. She also lets them snuggle up with her in her bed) Bramble is getting on well with them!

Last night she decided she did not want to be in the crate and she made every noise she could; barking, whining, howling, and a mixture of all three! Tonight we are wearing her out before bed by playing with her, letting her run around with the other dogs and not letting her fall asleep in the evening until bedtime so hopefully she'll sleep! We'll get up to her once in the night for a toilet but otherwise she will have to learn to settle in her crate! Hopefully she won't be quite so noisy tonight so we can get some sleep!

Enjoy the photos and I'll post again soon.
Puppy Playtime!
